So I know I still owe you all a Halusky recipe, I will post it soon, promise.
The CEO and I are gearing up for our annual birthday trek to somewhere not here. This year, we head South. I haven't been home since May 2012 and I miss having my feet on Georgia soil. So I am beyond excited.
On the soap front, I opened a new bar this morning, Summer Grapefuit, Savon Extra Pur by Compagnie de Provence. It was a Valentine's Day gift from The CEO and I am sad I didn't use it sooner. I have touted the wonderful properties of soap de Marseilles before and this one is no different. The smell of the light grapefruit also reminded me that, while summer has abruptly ended in NYC, it is still summer in GA!
Two days...
On the reading front, Patriots is still on my Audible (it's 21 hours so it'll take awhile) but this morning, when a chapter ended with "That winter, they ate the dogs" I almost stopped listening in disgust. I've learned some things listening to the book but one half of the story involves some characters I cannot stand. But I'm a finisher, so I will keep at it.
On the book in print front, I am going to start the Game of Thrones series. After a marathon watching of the show last weekend, I want to see the FULL story. So, that's happening too.
Knitting, ah knitting! The CEO's cousin's socks are done. I finished them in 10 days (the first sock took 7, the second took 3). It is pretty unbelievable, actually. So now I am onto the last 3 pairs, The CEO's Aunt, The CEO's stepdad, and The CEO's mom. I saved these for last for a reason, and not because they are the least likely to forgive me if I don't get them done.
Last night I had out about 10 skeins of yarn for The CEO to review. We made some choices and away we go. I'm still in the ball winding portion of the fun but I am excited. The yarns are yummy and the patterns perfect (I think).
I wonder how many projects I need to take with me?
