The Tuesday Toddy - How Much Ouzo Will I Drink in Greece?

So, on the 16th of November, The CEO, my amazing mother, and I will be boarding a plane and flying far far away.

This time to Athens, Greece.

This may get my card as a food blogger removed, but I don't like Thanksgiving.  I'm not a turkey fan and the lapband makes entire days devoted to eating not so much fun for me.

Also, it's my mom's birthday so what better time to get away.  And this year, The CEO is coming.  I am beside myself with excitement.

Beside myself, I tell you.

So this post is devoted to Ouzo.  I hope to be consuming tons of this while away.  Ouzo is an anise flavored liquor, originally created by monks and is traditionally an aperitif.

Here is what a bottle looks like.

A symbol of Greek culture, ouzo is typically taken neat or mixed with water and is sipped slowly over the course of SEVERAL HOURS while eating...yeah...

I'm excited.

So so so so very excited.

NoM!
