Teddy and Simon say, "Wait? Is it summer again?" |
Is it summer already? Thankfully, NYC held off on the sweltering weather until now. I really wish that the people who convince people to install central air would concentrate their efforts here. Thanks to the Q, The CEO and I have a 14,000 BTU AC now...so we aren't miserable but I did get fried while spending a whopping 3 hours outside on Saturday (At the Renegade Craft Fair...more on that next post).
Anyway, this summer is shaping up to be pretty exciting at Casa CEO/EK. So, when 10 On Tuesday was Things I Want To Do his Summer...well, I have some things there for sure. And the happy happy happy news is that it looks like most of them will come true. The pivotal point of making summer incredible this year is that (and it still makes my heart skip a little to type this) The CEO and I will be having two visitors of the small human variety. And they just make summer more entertaining, right?
So, without further ado, 10 Things I Want To Do This Summer:
1. Wear the new bikini I recently bought. It is the first one I have owned in my adult life and I am going to proudly rock it!
2. Have a picnic (with one of those ridiculous Williams & Sonoma Baskets that look like they could hold a 5 course meal) and then lie in the grass and stare at clouds.
3. Ride some roller coasters!
4. Get up early enough to do my sun salutations on the roof deck.
5. Go to the Bronx Zoo.
6. Take my favorite teenager (since she will be one by then) epic shiny shopping on 5th Avenue. You haven't seen shinies until you see Cartier and I can't WAIT to see her face when she sees all that sparkle.
7. Watch Teddy and Simon play with the kids.
8. Make salads with fresh fruit and eat them outside while the sun sets
9. Finally make like a real New Yorker and get myself to the Hamptons for a weekend
10. Watch our three amazing Titleholders compete for Miss New York and know that, win or lose, they are all changed for the better by competing.
Sometimes it takes making these lists to realize how lucky I am. I think this is going to be a really awesome one filled with love and fun times. And it all builds up to heading to Georgia and South Carolina (and maybe Florida...juries still out on Atlanta versus Jacksonville...but St. Simon's is on the way to Jax so it's in the lead).
Life is good, and I hope yours is too!
