Hold onto your hats. This is the simplest, tastiest dish you'll make in a long while. After all the hard work I did making wontons and buffalo dip, I left this for last and it was The CEO's favorite.
I found this recipe on Lauren's Latest.
Stuff:
1 large chicken breast chopped up in nugget sized bits
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
canola oil for frying
1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
Deviations:
I used heavy cream instead of milk because it was already open. Other than that, nothing.
Do:
Pour oil in a pan and preheat it over medium heat on the stove.
Put the flour, garlic powder and some salt and pepper in one bowl
Put the egg, milk and more salt and pepper in another
Toss the chicken in the dry mixture, then the wet mixture, then the dry mixture again.
Fry the nuggets in the hot oil...about 3-4 minutes on both sides.
When done, transfer them to a paper towel and let them drain. This is important because it is the difference between yummy and greasy.
Put the sweet chili sauce in a bowl and toss the chicken in. Coat the chicken in the sauce and serve.
Here they are:
Seldom have I ever had something that was this simple and this tasty. Make them for your family on a special night. Serve the nuggets to the kiddos with ketchup and make these for yourself.
Unbelievable.
Make them.
