3 September 2012 - Oh Cracker Barrel, How I Love Thee

When I was in college, I worked at Cracker Barrel.  It wasn't just some random job I managed to find.  I loved Cracker Barrel so much that I walked in and sold the hell out of myself until they hired me.  I didn't just want to wait tables, I wanted to work at Cracker Barrel.

Interestingly, I will still give you a loving speech about why the place is amazing.  I loved working there, even though it had its ups and downs, and would happily work there again.  That's saying something.

And I always say that if you work someplace for years and still want to eat there, it must be good.  And I pretty much would eat there any day of the week.

And again I don't have pictures but this brings up some interesting thoughts...

What is your favorite chain restaurant?  Growing up in Georgia, there was no shame in eating at Outback, Red Lobster, even McDonald's.  But now, and I am not sure if living in NY is the cause or something else, eating at chains seems to be considered uncool.

I must confess I don't mind a meal at Friday's or Applebee's sometimes.

What about you guys?  Is it all artisan deliciousness for you or do you sometimes find yourself craving Ruby Tuesday?
