Meal Plan: 1/9/14 through 1/14/14

Just to hold myself accountable, I thought I would post these here.  Plus, then The CEO always knows exactly where to go he wants to know what's for dinner.

Many of these recipes were taken from MOH-H (Matron of Honor - H) but with a few changes.

So away we go!

1/9/14 - Mustard Glazed Chicks in a Blanket.  The recipe is here but I will be making it with no honey since that isn't something we eat.  I will serve it with Ina Gartens' Warm French Lentils recipe.  MOH-H doesn't eat legumes, but we do often...so I threw those in.

1/10/14 - a double order of Pigs in a Blanket.  Grain free?  Almond Flour?  Yes sir...we are in.  I did some research and I am using Hebrew National all beef franks.

1/11/14 - Brown Butter Chicken with Sage.  We had this at MOH-H's house over the holiday and it was a winner winner, (you got it) chicken dinner.  Heh.  I will serve it up with some roasted asparagus (per the suggestion of H).

1/12/14 - CHEAT DAY!  I am thinking Brooklyn Beet Company for brunch!

1/13/14 - EK's make it up as you go slow carb chili with beans.  And...wait for it...grain free "corn" bread.  Yes, I know this sounds insane.  But you didn't try those tortilla chips last week.  When almond and coconut flour exist, I don't know why we use anything else!

1/14/14 - Prosciutto wrapped chicken with mustard glaze.    This is another one I will be altering slightly to alleviate the sugar in the recommended maple syrup.

I am also giving Fresh Direct a whirl this week.  The groceries are fairly well priced and I don't have to lug them home.

Thanks MOH-H for the inspiration.

Here we go!
