Last month, I saw a blog about the Foodie Pen Pal program headed up by Lindsay over at
The Lean Green Bean. Each month, foodies get assigned someone to send a package of yummy food to and, in turn, someone is assigned that person to do the same. Because I am perhaps the luckiest girl on Earth sometimes, I was matched with Pat Stepp from
Foodie Sweet Goodies. This was like Christmas and My Birthday all wrapped up in one awesome box.
This is what the whole package looked like unpacked. Look how much food I got! OMG. I was so excited.
Here is the breakdown of what I got.
 |
Caramel Corn |
Pat asked me if I minded homemade treats. I know some people may not but I personally think that there is nothing more special than something someone made for me. So this caramel corn was awesomely special. And delicious. One notorious morning, the dogs tried to sneak it off the table for a snack. I was not pleased with them. This stuff is epic.
 |
Homemade Granola |
Ok, so it was super hard to decide what was best about this package but I THINK this was the MVP for me. I could not stop eating this granola. I took it to work and just kept sticking my hand in the bag. It took all of my strength to not eat it until my lapband exploded. Pat should sell this stuff, although the buyers may need rehab after. SO GOOD!
 |
Coconut Oil |
Pat went to her local health food store and got me some of her favorite healthy snacks. I was beside myself with glee. She sent coconut oil, which I adore. This stuff has so many uses and I adore it. So I was stoked to get some. And I have never tried this brand. Can't wait to crack it open and make some Paleo Buns.
 |
Veggie Crackers |
These are so so good. I, of course, think they go well with Easy Cheese. But, then again, I think everything tastes great with Easy Cheese. I haven't seen these crackers locally but I want to buy them again.
 |
Chipotle Black Bean and Creamy Dill Dips |
With the trip to Wyoming so soon after receiving my package, I haven't been able to have these yet but I am excited to try. I love everything about both of these. And organic dips for Football Foodz! could be just what the doctor ordered.
 |
Peanut Butter Fudge |
Well, you can all guess that The CEO loved this one. My own attempts at fudge in the past have been sad and pathetic to say the least so I was excited for this little baggie. And I was not disappointed.
In perhaps the most awesome news of the century, Pat sent me a lavender plant from her garden. I potted this in my kitchen and sincerely hope it lives. Lavender is one of my most favorite scents/aromatherapy aids/flavors/etc and I really hope my plant stays alive!
 |
Popcorn |
I just love popcorn. So. Much. I go to the movies specifically for popcorn. So this was exciting. I am waiting for movie night to pop some of this yumminess.
 |
Choco Puddings |
So, happily, there was some Organic Chocolate Pudding. I haven't had it yet. But something that Pat could not have known is that I adore pudding. So this one will definitely have its day.
I feel so spoiled after opening my package. The Foodie Pen Pals program is really such a boost. I don't know a single person who doesn't like food and who doesn't like presents. I am so glad that I joined this program. I may or may not blog about the package I sent to my other Penpal, Cyndi. But I had so much fun thinking about it and putting my box together.
Also, you should read Pat's blog if you don't already. She made rolo cookies, ya'll.
If you are interested in joining Foodie Pen Pals, go
here and enroll. Read the rules carefully, but enjoy away!
